These terms describe how Ship Lane handles quote requests, booking, payment, dispatch, tracking, email, SMS, support, and cancellation workflows.
Company role
Ship Lane is the customer-facing booking and shipment-management service operated by Car Ship Global LLC. USDOT 4520443 · MC 1790979. Ship Lane is a broker and customer-service layer, not the motor carrier that physically transports the vehicle.
Carrier availability, pickup timing, delivery timing, documents, and driver details depend on the carrier workflow and confirmed shipment events.
Quotes, booking, and dispatch
Quotes are based on route, vehicle, transport type, market pricing, confidence signals, and operational assumptions available at the time of booking. A booking is not a carrier assignment until the dispatch workflow confirms a carrier.
Ship Lane may decline, cancel, or move a booking into manual review when pricing confidence, route support, vehicle details, payment status, fraud checks, carrier availability, or vendor responses require human attention.
Payments, refunds, and cancellations
Payments are processed through Stripe. Refunds and cancellations depend on payment status, dispatch status, carrier activity, and applicable shipment terms. If a carrier has already been assigned or shipment work has begun, cancellation handling may require manual review.
Payment, refund, and cancellation records may be shared with payment processors and fulfillment vendors as needed to operate the shipment.
Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for accurate pickup, delivery, vehicle, contact, and scheduling information. Pickup and delivery contacts must be reachable during the shipment window.
You are responsible for preparing the vehicle, removing personal items when required, reviewing inspection documents, and raising support issues promptly when details are incorrect.
Email, SMS, and calls
By providing contact information during booking, you authorize Ship Lane and its service providers to contact you about your quote, booking, shipment, pickup, delivery, documents, tracking, refunds, cancellations, and support issues.
If you provide a phone number and continue the booking flow, you agree to receive transactional text messages from Ship Lane. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS updates and HELP for help when supported. SMS opt-in consent is not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
No misuse
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, submit false shipment information, interfere with vendor systems, or use tracking links in a way that compromises another customer.
Ship Lane may limit access, pause fulfillment, or cancel a booking if fraud, abuse, safety, or operational concerns appear.
